First, we'd like to say how happy we are that you've decided to check out our website...we hope this means that you're planning to join us in Mexico! "Why Mexico," you might be wondering. Well, we decided to tie the knot destination style because we liked the idea of taking a vacation with our friends and family to a beautiful, romantic setting where we can enjoy each others' company and relax by the beach. And, since neither of us require the traditional aspects of a local wedding ceremony, we thought this option would allow us to worry less about the details.
We will be married on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the Azul Fives Resort in the Riviera Maya, Mexico near Playa del Carmen. We plan to marry on the beach, so the attire will be casual. The wedding is scheduled to begin at 4:00pm.
We plan to have a reception immediately following the wedding in Mexico. More info will be available in the upcoming months as we work out the details.

We will also have a farewell party in Austin before we leave for Mexico to get hitched. We have decided to have our local gathering with friends and family before we leave rather than after we get back so we can settle in to married life upon returning from our honeymoon without having to worry about planning a big reception, plus we really want to see everyone before we leave since it will be the last time we see most of you as 2 single individuals.

So, we hope that those of you who can't join us in Mexico (and those of you who will be joining us in Mexico too) will be sure and celebrate with us on Saturday, May 16th, which is just 2 days before we head out. Mike and Linda Lorenzen are planning to host the shindig at their house. Invitations will be sent out with directions in the next few weeks.

Most of us are now flying out of San Antonio to save a couple hundred dollars per person. Mexicana Airlines and Continental Airlines have some pretty good rates.

While most of us were scheduled to fly with Viva Aerobus, they have cancelled all flights to and from Austin except for those going out or coming in on Thursdays and Saturdays. For most of us, that didn't work, so we had to make arrangements through other airlines.

When booking your flight, don't worry about booking transportation from the airport to the resort; this is covered in the room cost.

Rooms at the resort should be booked through Skip Neal with All About Honeymoons. His email address is skipn@allabouthoneymoons.com. Feel free to contact him directly for any questions and to book your room. He cannot book your flight however, so feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We've done a pretty good amount of research to get the best deals.

Once in Mexico, many excursions such as diving and parasailing are available. Come back to this website for more information on booking those in the next few months.
Thanks again for visiting our website. We love you all and look forward to sharing our special day with you in Mexico. Please book your flights and rooms as soon as possible and come back soon to check for updates. Your fabulous Mexican vacation is just a few short months away!
