I will always remember the first night we met. However, it was not the first time I saw him. We were at Springwood softball park watching some friends play. He was sitting across the way when I saw him. I tried my best not to stare, but I couldn't help it. A few days later a friend had told me about him, and how he had asked about me. I immediately burst into laughter and explained that I had been staring at him bascially the whole night. She invited me to a birthday party for her boyfriend. Of course he was there, and we immediately had a connection. He even went as far as to introduce himself twice. I am so glad that he did :) We got to talk and get to know each other as we played against each other in our favorite game "cornhole". We laughed and hung around each other all night. Our chemistry was undeniable. Three years later we were spending a fourth of July weekend at his parent's house riding the four wheelers, fishing, and just enjoying the company of family. Out of the blue he asked me to take a four wheeler ride with him. We rode out to a spot that was away from everyone else, and as we were talking about life and the future, he asked if I thought if this place would be good to build a house. Before I could answer him, he was down on one knee telling me that he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I knew it was going to be a spontaneous gesture by him. When I asked him if he knew he was going to ask me that morning, he said, "NO".... Life is full of unexpected events. I am so glad that he chose me to be his wife. |
