Welcome

Tim and I will be arriving the Sunday befoe the wedding to finalize all of the wedding plans. We will be sure to finish everything before anyone arrives at the resort so we can spend any free time with our family and friends who have made the trip!

Wednesday: We may be taking a hotel shuttle to downtown Playa del Carmen for a little shoppin and boppin. Shuttle time TBA.

Thursday: We will be hanging poolside most of the day. We have a group dinner planned for everyone, which is optional for whomever would like to come. Dinner will be held at the Coctal Restaurant at 6 PM. Starter: Grilled Watermelon and Citrus Fruits with Caribean seafood. Salad: Caesar salad. Main Course: Braised Beef with bordelaise sauce with veggies and fresh herbs OR Sole with glazed veggies and white wine. Dessert: "The Dorado" which is vanilla icecream, chocolate sauce and peppermint foam (a house specialty).

Friday: We have reseved a Catamaran out of Cancun with transportation to the Marina from the hotel and back as a "Thank You" for attending our special day. The vans will leave the hotel at 2:30 in the afternoon so we suggest having lunch before we leave. Chips and salsa/Guac and fruit trays will be on board as well as cocktails! We will also stop at one of the popular reefs for snorkeling. All equipment will be on board. We also plan to see the beautiful sunset on the way back from our Catamaran tour. We should be back to the hotel by 8:30 that evening so restaurants will still be open if you are hungry; not to mention there is room service offered 24/7.

Saturday: THE BIG DAY! The wedding ceremony will be held at 3 PM - we would really like it if everyone can be there in good form. :) The ceremony will be followed by pictures and a whole evening of fun on the beach! Like the whole night is on the beach...in the sand....dress appropriately.

Sunday - the rest of your stay: WHATEVER YOUR HEART DESIRES! Enjoy yourselves!

Some activities right at the resort: beach volleyball, romantic hikes, massages, snorkeling, kayaking, scuba clinics in the pool, swimming in fresh water pools, tennis courts with free rackets and balls, gym, steam and sauna baths, aquaerobics, salsa lessons, low impact aerobics and much more.

Tim and I had an interesting beginning. He was living in the city and I had just moved back to the city and became really good friends with his roommate. Tim had also been friends with my little brother for years but I never knew him. Our true story is actually quite humorous and the gist of it is that we met, found ourselves interested in each other, instantly realized we liked all the same things and quickly became attached at the hip. We dated for a short time and fell in love quickly. We knew we were perfect for each other and moved to the suburbs, bought a house and now have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 2 fish tanks. Our love for each other grows every day and we are looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together

The day Tim proposed to me was the happiest day of my life. We booked a trip to Cozumel and went on our vacation in April. He proposed on the first night, April 27th. We arrived at the resort and I had questioned the bell hop because our room was HUGE and the terrace outside our room was GIGANTIC as well. I asked Tim if he had upgraded our room or something. He told me that he didn't. I didn't think much of it. We went downstairs and watched the sunset on the beach and had a glass of wine. Tim kept me downstairs while all the magic was happening in our room. When we went upstairs I walked into a beautiful room full of candles and rose petals. He wrote "I love you" in rose petals and I was so surprised. There were chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne as well. There were 2 dozen roses on the table with a little card that said "Come outside and check out the view". Tim yelled to me from the balcony and told me to come out there. The shades were drawn so I couldn't see anything. When I walked outside there were 250 tea light candles spelling "Will You Marry Me?" and he was down on one knee with a light up ring box. It was the most breath taking experience. He proposed and of course I said "YES!". We then celebrated with the champagne and it set the tone for the remainder of our vacation. He basically did a 2 day engagement as the second day was followed by a full day of spa treatment and a romantic dinner on the pier for only us two. I will NEVER forget those two days of being treated like a princess. He still treats me like a princess every day and I'm the luckiest girl in the world!
